Drone technology to deliver food in Pakistan.

Delivering the food using drone technology is all set to become a reality in Pakistan. The announcement was made by DC Islamabad Hamza Shafqat through his Twitter handle. This is very amusing news for Pakistan. The said development will boost the restaurant industry in Islamabad like a conflagration as well as in Pakistan.

Browns are currently being used for inspection, mapping, security, surveillance, and detection because of their accessibility to difficult, remote, and hard-to-reach locations.

The first-ever drone delivery that took place occurred way back in 2015. Medicine and pharmaceutical products were delivered to a free medical clinic in Wise country Virginia USA. A drone start-up, Flirtey made the delivery. A year later the same startup partnered with Domino’s pizza and delivered their products in New Zealand. Nowadays, they are successfully carrying food deliveries through drones in collaboration with 7-Eleven. A reasonable number of customers can now order food with the help of their mobile phones and have them delivered to whatever location they want through drone technology

The island company partnered with an Israeli drone startup to deliver food packages in 2017. In addition to that, Alphabet, a Google parent company also launch their project wing and made the announcement that they are stepping into the field of drone food delivery. They teamed up with Chipotle to test the concept at Virginia in September 2016. These drones delivered burritos to volunteer’ students deliberately positioned in an open field. The said company Alphabet received permission from federal aviation for starting to deliver food with the help of drones in Virginia.

Following the trend, Amazon also announced that they are stepping in and announced a prime air delivery drone back in 2019. They are now planning to deliver packages across the cities from Amazon platforms.

Uber Eats also join the race after passing the initial test at the University of San Diego. Still, their system is not capable of delivering the food across the entire length of delivery. Customer place orders and the affiliated and concern restaurants prepare and load their food on to the Drone and the drone then deliver the meal into a selected drop off point. The Uber Eat driver then deliver the food to the customer from the drop off point

In India, a food delivery service Swiggy tried to begin testing drone technology for supplying food and other product in June this year. In addition to that, Dunzo, a Google-backed company also announced Its drone delivery of medicines and other medical products with the name of “medicine from the sky” in Telangana. They’re also aiming to use drone delivery to provide

vaccine and medication to those people living in the rural areas or especially other areas that are not easy to reach easily.

Food panda also conducted a test flight on August 13, 2020, under the name of Pandafly. Drones are expected to reduce the delivery time up to approximately 70%. This can cause huge positive impacts on restaurants’ earning and profitability. This will also decrease the demand for delivery drivers. For short distances, the delivery levels tired $6 to $8 per order. this course will come down to $0.88 by using drones.
